The Story

You drive.
We stay on
the phone

This is the trip for people who would rather find the place themselves. We hand over a fully kitted Land Cruiser, a route sheet with far more options than days, and the number of someone who answers at three in the morning.

Nights are booked but movable. If a riverbed is better than the plan, you stay, one message and we shift everything ahead of you.

    Recovery, tyre changes, sand and river crossings - practised before you leave.

    Camps rebooked by us, at no charge, up to noon the same day.

    Rescue, Not Roadside

    A partner vehicle within four hours of any point on the route.

The Route

A spine, not a schedule. Three legs, each with two or three ways through.

Days 1–3 · 320 km

Handover & Highlands

Two days learning the vehicle outside Arusha, then a short first drive to a crater-rim camp.

Days 4–7 · 790 km

The Long Empty

Corrugations, one river crossing, two fuel stops and the best wild camping of the trip.

Days 8–11 · 730 km

Escarpment & Back

Rift-valley switchbacks, a lake and hot springs, then tarmac home the last afternoon.

Hot Seats

Twin tents, dual battery, awning kitchen. The one most people should take.

Twin tanks, compressor, winch, second spare. For the western detour with no fuel for 400 km.
