The Story

Five seats,
no roof,
no rush

A five-seat cruiser gets you a window. Ours carries five, which gets you a whole row, a beanbag rest for a long lens, and the freedom to sit with one animal for an hour instead of ticking off six.

No radio scramble to whatever the other vehicles found. Your guide reads tracks, alarm calls and the direction the vultures are drifting — and often gets there first, alone.

    One sighting, as long as it lasts. Lunch happens when it happens.

    Beanbags, charging, a 400mm on loan, and a guide who knows about light.

A Day Of Tracking

Two drives a day, split by the heat. The animals decide the rest.

Reading The Night

Coffee in the dark, then fresh tracks on the road  who crossed, which way, how long ago.

11:30 — Rest

Camp, Shade, Sort

Long lunch, a swim if the camp has one, and two hours to back up the morning's cards.

16:00 — Gold

Out Until Dark

The cats wake, the light drops warm, and we stay out to the last legal minute.
